Save the date. We're throwing a literary/publishing/library/books hackathon
at the MIT Media Lab on January 8-10, 2016
during the American Library Association mid-winter conference in Boston.
CODEX is a community of folks who want to imagine the future of books and reading. Programmers, designers, writers, librarians, publishers, readers. All are welcome.

What is CODEX? Here are projects that emerged that emerged from
our first CODEX Hackathon in San Francisco in June 2015.
You can read about what it's like to be at CODEX on Medium.

We make a point of getting tools, APIs, and data sets available for our participants. We've had APIs from The New York Times, Wattpad, Mailchimp, Dropbox, Shelfie, Goodreads. In addition we got reviews from Publishers Weekly, covers from Recovering the Classics, short stories from One Story, and novellas from Nouvella.
Then we put them in a Dropbox folder.
